As these are the people who are
ultimately responsible for the
success or failure of a
restaurant, it is imperative
that they are well trained and
fully understand the
expectations and
responsibilities that they must
perform. We believe
that a complete training program
starts at the hourly level. A
manager must be held to the same
high levels of expectations and
performance requirements as the
people put in his or her charge. If
a manager can't properly cook a
steak, cash out a check, pour a
glass a wine or know which side of
the guest to clear a plate, how can
they be taken seriously when
training their team or correcting
issues?
The answer is they cannot. We
build our management program off of
our
Position Training Manuals first
and foremost. Your managers will
understand and learn how to do each
position in your restaurant. While
they are learning how to be a
waiter, cashier or cook in your
restaurant, we will add to their day
management skills that coincide with
the position skills they are
learning that day. The object is not
to have management in training for
months on end. The goal is to
determine the correct amount of time
needed to train in your system, your
concept and then create a program
that meets that need. We expedite
training without overwhelming your
management by the careful marrying
of hourly and management skills.
